“This one was sent to us a few weeks ago out of the blue and it’s so different than pretty much anything else I wasn’t sure how to even begin trying to review it. Some of you will probably hate it, some will hopefully love it but there’s no denying that you haven’t heard much of anything like what [P.U.T] put out there. As a whole the album is like Ministry’s Psalm 69 meets something by Thou (an awesome doom band from New Orleans if you’re not aware). There are shorter punk type songs like opener In The Lake and sludge filled epics like the over nine minute long Zoo. [P.U.T.] do both extremely well blending industrial and punk metal together into their own unique brand of sludge. Doom filled bass lines run rampant through the album giving it that sludge bordering on doom flavor which is what really kept me interested all the way through. The closest I think I can come for comparison sake would be to tell you [P.U.T.] sound like a sludge version of Canadian band Skinny Puppy but many of you probably (unfortunately) don’t know who Skinny Puppy are. Like Animals is experimental and I found it to be a ton of fun to listen to. Give it a try since there is much here to love. [P.U.T.] have actually been hanging in the underground for about 15 years and with Cimmerian Shade Recordings re-issuing their 5th album hopefully now more will discover this awesome band lifting them out of the shadows to delight and amaze more people as they now have me. This is one of those albums you just have to hear for yourself. Favorite Tracks: Zoo, There’s A Mammoth In The Room and IT” – Feind Gottes

[ P.U.T ] is composed of 2 brothers, living in Paris / Brussels, who have been constructing/deconstructing music since 1998. Through the use of machines/guitares they have created their own niche that incorporates noise, sludge-metal, industrial and punk to create a sound loaded with madness, heaviness and vehemence.
Personal and without concessions, their 5 albums, 8 maxis, 2 live, 7″ and various sound experiments, does not disavow their influences (which include: Godflesh, Killing joke, Sonic Youth while passing by Scorn or Unsane).

While their recorded material makes a notable impact on the listener, It is on stage where the band reveal is power, making more noise than 4-5 piece musicians: intense, raw, dirty, disturbing…
More than 170 shows in France, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic and Germany.

They have play with: SCORN (UK), Ufomammut (IT), Akimbo (USA), Burning Heads, Year of No light, Altar of plague (UK), Ultraphallus (BE), Anorak, Pneumatic Head Compressor (BE), Membrane, K-Branding (BE), Io Monade (It), Kapitain Korsakov (BE), Lab°, Last Minute to Jaffna (IT), Grant National (DE), Grrzzz, Lucky Funeral (GR), Black Bomb A, Muckrackers, René Binamé, PPZ30, Punish Yourself, Sungrazer (NL), LTNo, Comity, Zenzile, Tamtrum, Edwood Jr, General Lee and many others!
